The Oswegoland Park District offers a wide variety of programs and classes geared to those wanting a challenge or to learn something new. Friendly Neighbors
Check out the opportunities for fun and friendship offered by this welcoming group of nearly 100 single and married community residents, age 55 and older.

  • Catered luncheon and program at noon, the fourth Tuesday of every month at the Civic Center, 5 Ashlawn Avenue in Montgomery. (Cost is $6, due by the preceding Friday. Call the Civic Center at 630.896.2016 for reservation information.)
  • Bridge & Dominoes the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. at Boulder Point, located at the intersection of Boulder Hill Pass and Rt. 25. (New players welcome--especially beginners!)

Fitness Opportunities

  • Our Senior Fitness class will help you increase flexibility and range of motion. Dates, times, and fees are listed in our program catalog and online brochure.   • ACES (Active Citizens Exercising) is a free, ongoing senior fitness program that helps you slowly stretch your muscles so you feel better and have more energy. ACES meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:05 to 8:50 a.m. at the Civic Center (5 Ashlawn Avenue in Montgomery).

 

Community Information
The Salvation Army Golden Diners Program provides a nutritious and delicious meal each weekday at noon for senior citizens age 60 and older. Call 630.554.5718 for the Oswego location and 630.553.6623 for the Yorkville location.

  • Meals can be delivered to your home if you are unable to get out.
  • A donation of $2.50 is suggested.
  • For anyone less than 60 years of age, the cost is $5.

Senior Services Associates, Inc., serving Kane, Kendall and McHenry Counties, offers comprehensive assistance for community residents age 60 and over. For more information call Senior Services at 630.553.5777.
