PrairieFest events are held throughout the community. Anyone wishing to organize an event is welcome to do so, and the Park District will help with advertisement and support.
Traditional PrairieFest Events:
PrairieFest Raft
Rally
Rafts and crew gather at Violet Patch Park at 1 p.m. on Saturday,
June 19 and float to the bridge at Hudson Crossing Park. Entry
fee is just $10 per raft.
Individuals, families, neighborhood groups, service organizations,
governmental bodies and businesses are all encouraged to put together
a crew. Although anything that floats will do, the Oswegoland Optimist
Club challenges you to exercise your imaginations if you want
to win the top prize!
Download entry form and waiver (coming soon) or pick one up at Oswegoland
Park District offices in April. Registration forms and waivers are
also available on site. Each participant must sign a waiver before
participating in the event and life jackets are required. The PrairieFest Raft Rally is sponsored by the Oswegoland Optimist

PrairieFest 2010
Car Show
The PrairieFest Car Show, held Sunday, June 20, is organized
by Harry's Auto Service with proceeds to benefit the
Kendall County Food Pantry. Cars register before noon and spend
the day at PrairieFest. There's plenty for the family to do, so

Village Expo Registration Forms
Showcase your business, craft, or organization to the thousands in attendance during PrairieFest, Oswego’s annual hometown celebration held Friday, Saturday and Sunday each Father’s Day weekend. Booth space is available in the Expo Village located on the PrairieFest grounds.
Participate all three days, or pick your days and pay only for the days you choose! New this year, an evening option. Those who wish to take advantage of the evening crowds can do so for a small additional fee.

Quilter's
Dozen Quilt Raffle
The Quilter's Dozen donates a beautiful hand sewn quilt for
raffle each year with proceeds to benefit PrairieFest. Raffle
tickets are $1 each or 6/$5 and will be on sale at the Civic Center
and Prairie Point and at the White School Museum during the Quilt
Show. Raffle to be held Sunday, June 20 at 4 pm. Winner need not

"Slop to the Top" Co-Ed
Mud Volleyball Tournament
Mud volleyball double elimination tournament for 10 co-ed teams of six to eight players each on Saturday, June 19 at Prairie Point Community Park. Signup for the High School Tournament begins at 8:30 and noon for the adult tournament. High School Participants must be District 308 residents entering grades 9-12 in the fall of '10 (plus '10 graduating seniors). Sponsored by Oswegoland Optimist Club and all proceeds go to help children’s charities. Print registration form and waiver.

PrairieFest Parade

Parade Entry Forms
Each year, on the final day of PrairieFest, the parade moves through downtown Oswego showcasing area bands, floats, school and community groups, and businesses and organizations. Thousands of spectators enjoy celebrating family, history, and community with one of the best hometown parades around.
The parade is limited to 65 entries and entry deadline is May 1, 2009. Contact the Oswegoland Park District at 630.554.4498 or email Lfinch@oswegolandpd.org to be placed on the mailing list.

Race
Entry
The 5K race and 1 Mile Prairie Dog Jog is scheduled on Sunday, June 20, 2010. The starting gun will sound at 8:30 a.m. with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m.
The race begins at Prairie Point Center off Grove and Plainfield Road. USATF certified course winds through Lakeview. Shirt, ribbon, trophies, and refreshments. Runners are encouraged to bring their dogs for the 1 Mile Prairie Dog Jog which begins at the same location. Download your race entry or register online at Active.com or through the Park District's online registration system after April 24.
